Camp 5: Insects - May 18-22

$100.00

Get ready to zoom in on the mini-world of insects! In Camp 5, campers become entomologists as they explore where insects live, what they eat, and why some insects are helpful garden heroes, while others can be plant “pests.” Campers will use kid-friendly tools like loupes and microscopes to observe insects up close, then work in teams to learn about different insect jobs in nature.

Campers will create a decorated “bug hotel” made from recycled and reused materials to provide beneficial insects a safe place to rest and nest—plus a fun laminated insect ID bookmark to help them recognize common insects. Throughout the week, campers will record sightings and help build a class “insect map” showing where different insects were found on site.
